Travel Journal: Christmas in Tangub City

It’s the season to be jolly once and for all and I’m so delighted to share my recent trip to y’all. I’ve finally visited the Christmas Symbols Capital of the Philippines, Tangub City!

I was with Jason’s family and it took us a couple of hours to get there; three hours for our road trip from Bulua Westbound Terminal to Mukas Port where we rode a barge for twenty minutes to get to Ozamiz City where we also visited the Cotta Shrine.

Food Journal: Rice Burger

From ‘Irasshaimase’ to Annyeonghaseyo~!

All thanks to my Korean BFF (Pearly), Jason and my mom, I end up binge-watching Korean dramas for the past two years. More or less, I’ve watched fifty dramas already. Daming time, no? 😀

One of the main reasons why I love watching them other than the superb story line they have is the way they showcase their food. It’s so mouth-watering that I want to try them all. Specifically the street food that Kim Bok Joo has been eating at the drama series My Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo played by Lee Sung-kyung and then recently, another Korean BFF (Eli) recommended a good Korean cafe that actually serve odeng or eumok which means fish cakes. The moment Jason and I went to the city to comply our requirements for our passport, we ended up at the said cafe to have lunch which is called Rice Burger Cafe.

It’s actually a really small cafe but it’s definitely a cute one. There are two sets of their interior, the first one is the usual in every restaurant where you’ll find tables and chairs and the other have low traditional tables where you’ll leave your footwear on the entrance and sit on the floor.

Food Journal: Tokyo Bubble Tea

Irasshaimase~!

It’s usually the first thing you’ll hear whenever you get inside at any branch of Tokyo Bubble Tea. It means “Welcome to the store!” This clearly gives a Japanese feel once you decide to dine in.

Tokyo Bubble Tea is actually one of our (Jason and I) favorite restaurant. It’s always our first choice whenever we go to Centrio, Ayala and another branch recently opened here in Cagayan de Oro at SM Downtown Premiere and it’s interior show off a very cutesy vibe. We had dinner there last October 22, 2017 to celebrate Jason’s 26th birthday as well. 😊

Took this after our dinner and when the store was already closing.

Travel Journal: Davao

A 7-8-hour road trip may sound impossible for me but I made it! Exploring Davao has never been on my bucket list but visiting the city was quite a remarkable one, all thanks to Jason’s family. We departed around 3:20 in the morning (I checked my watch :P) and I was half-asleep the entire ride.

We made a short stop at Valencia Bukidnon, Jollibee and had coffee and hot choco but we didn’t have our breakfast there since Jason’s aunt packed our breakfast the night before our trip and we had it at BuDa (Bukidnon-Davao) with a breathtaking view right in front of us.

Sea of clouds, baby!

I’m always pretty sure that I won’t have a chance to witness a sea of cloud since I’m not good with trekking or mountain climbing because of my poor health but at least, this trip made one of my wildest dreams come true.

Food Journal: Bingsoo Corner

Anime, Manga and K-Dramas! I can spend all day talking about these with my best-otaku-friends, Desiree and Eli and we’ve been doing it since high school. And last Saturday, August 5, 2017, we had a reunion and spend time on chikas, food trip and window shopping~

We met at my new favorite cafe at SM Downtown Premier, Bingsoo Corner. It is the very first Korean Dessert Cafe in Cagayan de Oro and of course, it is a perfect place for Korean Drama lovers like us. They serve Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings which is popularly called as Patbingsu or Bingsu.

Of course, we had a bunch of selfies and chikas. We talked about the latest Korean Dramas and anime we watched and recent mangas that we read while waiting for our order. Eli’s the one in yellow and the latter is Desiree. As I’ve mentioned, we’ve been friends since high school and the three of us loves anime so much. I remembered, we went to Cogon years ago just to shop for DVDs. Ha! Ha! I really spent a lot just for my addiction, yes.
